The aim of this conference is to bring together workers from throughout the world for a wide ranging discussion of all forms of reconfigurability, reconfigurable computing, and their applications, including, but not limited to: industrial applications, advanced EDA, research applications, novel systems architectures and educational experiences. Reprogrammable devices are opening up sophisticated new applications and new hardware/software trade-offs.
You should be keen to watch also the more recent impact of current
trends:
- HPC and supercomputing go reconfigurable
- nano and bioinformatics go reconfigurable
- software engineering goes configware engineering
- configware is going into all computing areas, also in all
scientific computing areas
- speed-up factors up to 6000 by software to FPGA migration
- a side effect of software to configware migration is a drastic
reduction of the electricity bill and equipment cost
